Member of the Association of Caravan & Camping Exempted Organizations.
Member of the FICC (Federation Internationale de Camping et de Caravanning AISBL).
As the name implies the HCI is a one make club catering for Hymer motorhome owners.
The membership is currently around 500; each membership usually being for a couple, meaning that there are around 1000 people in total. The main objectives of the club are to encourage the highest standards of touring by Hymer motorhome owners, to provide a forum where members can improve their knowledge relating to Hymer motorhoming and exchange information and views. To arrange tours and rallies for members and to maintain liaison with the Hymer company and distributors and to affiliate with any organisation that will be beneficial to its members.
The HCI holds Exemption Certificates from Natural England, the Welsh Assembly and the Scottish Government enabling us to hold rallies away from licensed campsites in Britain. Rallies are organised by members for members and there is a varied programme of events in different parts of Britain throughout the year.
Tours and rallies are often held abroad. Spain, Germany, Belgium, Austria, Italy, Hungary, Scandinavia, Croatia and Slovenia and many areas of France have been the destinations in recent years. All of these are in addition to events arranged by other organisations e.g. the FICC
A monthly newsletter is circulated to all members giving up to date information about the club's programme and activities. The newsletter is also a useful as well as the online forum for exchanging ideas and sharing "hints and wrinkles".
The Club runs an Annual General Meeting rally every Spring with May 2015 seeing the Club's extremely successful 25th Anniversary Rally, a major milestone.
It is a very friendly club with a good cross section of people, all of whom enjoy meeting to share the common interests of motorcaravanning in general and Hymers in particular. If you would like more information please see the contact HCI page.
