Then it was down to some serious shopping in the markets and malls
Rohan's had a sale in this almost empty mall.



Upstairs in the same mall was just as eerily empty.

The Sunday Outing - Steam Train Trip to Ramsbottom



Sunday morning dawned cold and misty . .



. . but rallyers wrapped up warm for the walk . .



. . and made it to Bolton Street Station on time . .



. . enjoying the warm, festive atmosphere inside the station.



'Our' loco was the Great Marquess.

We had a wonderful guided tour around the historic parts of Bury,
it started here at the Peel monument.

We move on to hear the story of Bury castle,
yes, Janet is wearing her very fetching pink bunny ear muffs!



The East Lancashire Railway Group rescued and restored the station and the line
after Dr Beeching's axe had fallen.

Not only did Trish read out the answers
but she joined Joyce in leading the singing of every one too!
